Winners of our Photo Contest “Unity”!
The KI Housing photo contest has come to an end and it is time to announce the winners! We have received 12 stunning photos and over 790 votes.
The picture that has received the highest number of votes is picture No. 10, by Florian Gruber.

Below you can read his comment about his time in Vårberg:
“Karolinska housing in Varberg is indeed quite a long travel everyday if you are based on Solna campus. But it definitely has it perks. The house is organised in 4 different corridors and the social life plays quite a big role. It has a really nice and friendly atmosphere. As we have a good variety of different origins within KI housing in Varberg we are organising regularly international dinners where we meet up in one of our four shared kitchens and everyone prepares food from his home country.
Another good thing about Varberg is that you can enjoy the beautiful landscape. It’s great if you like going for a run (we just founded an internal running group), or also just for a walk on a Sunday afternoon. There is a natural reserve close by to enjoy and different beaches where we you can have a swim, if you are brave enough to go into the cold water. Otherwise we also organised quite a few barbecues at one of the beautiful beaches recently, which is truely a great opportunity to meet new KI fellows from different nations. KI housing in Varberg is not anonymous as most student accomodations, but a really nice and friendly place to make new international friends and have a good time!”
The second and third entry that have received the highest number of votes after the winning entry are Picture No. 4, by Christina Neofytou (who has been staying in Vårberg) and Picture No. 12, by Amit Kumar (who are staying in our area “Södermalm”).

Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all current and former tenants who have participated in the contest!
