Medical service advice
If you need medical advice, you can call “Sjukvårdsrådgivningen” at 1177 (around the clock).
They can give you advice on symptoms and diseases over phone. If you are in urgent need of medical help, you should call for an ambulance instead.
For police matters that are not urgent, you can call the Police at 114 14. For more information, please see this link.
Emergency Social Services
The county of Stockholm provides an emergency Social Service that you can call if you are in need of emergency help with for example family and relations problems, violence in your home or addiction problems. Call “Stockholms Socialjour” at 08-508 400 00 (around the clock).
If you lose your keys you should immediately inform KI Housing.
The lock/s will be changed if keys are lost. The cost for the change of lock/s and keys varies between accommodation areas, from SEK 1500 – SEK 5000.
If you have lost your keys and need to get into your apartment outside our office hours, you can call an emergency locksmith who can open for you. The costs for the locksmith (and temporary lock) are paid by the tenant. Please note that even if the locksmith has installed a temporary lock, it will have to be replaced with a regular lock by the landlord and the costs will be charged to the tenant.
If possible, we recommend you to wait and notify KI Housing during office hours to minimize the costs.
On-call emergency service
An on-call emergency service is provided in all our areas.
The on-call emergency service must only be contacted for problems that risk to cause damage to property or person if they are not taken care of immediately, for example a power cut that affects the whole apartment or building, a water leak or a blocked sewage where there is a risk for flooding.
When there is no immediate danger, you should wait and contact us. Costs for consulting emergency service for non-urgent issues will be charged to the tenant.

The Student Health Centre at KI offers study-related health care and work as a complement to the regular health care services. The center is staffed with doctors, nurses and counsellors and provide support and advice regarding your mental and physical health during your studies.
