Arrival information

KI Housing provides a flexible key pick-up system that allows tenants to move in also outside office hours.

 

Before arrival

An email with important arrival information and code to the key box is sent to the tenant 1-2 weeks before arrival.

If you have not received any arrival information a week before your arrival, please note that it is your responsibility to send an email to info@kihousing.se at least 3 working days before the starting date of the contract to ask for the information.

Upon arrival

If you have not recieved the arrival information upon arrival and have not notified us that you lack the arrival information, you must contact KI Housing immediately. If you are arriving outside office hours and lack the arrival information, you will not get access to your room before the next working day (no compensation will be given).

Time for key pickup

The keys are picked up from coded key boxes and are usually available for pickup from 14.00 on the starting date of your contract.

Please note that the key boxes are only intended for key pickup upon arrival and must not be used as key storage by tenants during their stay.

Internet access

Internet access is provided as a service by KI Housing in most of our areas.

Please note that the tenant will not receive a rent reduction for any period if the internet service is unstable or down.

Berzelius väg

KI Housing does not provide internet in this area. You can either choose to make a subscription via companies such as Bredbandsbolaget or Telia or get a mobile broadband solution via companies such as Tele2, Comviq, Telia or Tre.

Jägargatan

KI Housing provides WiFi as a service in this area. The WiFi-code is written in the arrival email that is sent to you about 1-2 weeks before your arrival. You may start using this WiFi-service as soon as you arrive.

Larsbergsvägen

KI Housing provides internet as a service in this area. There is a modem in every studio/apartment. You will find the name of the network and the password on the modem. You may start using the internet service as soon as you arrive.

Nybohov

KI Housing provides internet as a service in this area. Broadband is installed in all apartments. There should be a LAN-cable marked ”KI cable” in your apartment so you may start using internet as soon as you arrive. At this link you can download an internet guide.

Pax

SSSB provides internet as a service in this area. Broadband is installed in all student rooms and a LAN cable marked “KI cable” is provided. Please note that you must register on a portal provided by Bredbandsbolaget to be able to use the internet service. At this link you can download an internet guide.

Roslagstull

KI Housing provides internet as a service in this area. Broadband is installed in all apartments. There should be a LAN-cable marked ”KI cable” in your apartment so you may start using internet as soon as you arrive. At this link you can download an internet guide.

Strix

SSSB provides internet as a service in this area. Broadband is installed in all student rooms and a LAN cable marked “KI cable” is provided. Please note that you must register on a portal provided by Bredbandsbolaget to be able to use the internet service. At this link you can download an internet guide.

Södermalm

KI Housing provides internet as a service in this area. Broadband is installed in all apartments and a router is provided. Login details are written on the router. At this link you can download an internet guide.

Vårberg

KI Housing provides WiFi as a service in this area. The WiFi-code is written in the arrival email that is sent to you about 1-2 weeks before your arrival. You may start using this WiFi-service as soon as you arrive.

Phone cards

Free SIM-card from Telia

All KI Housing tenants receive a SIM-card from Telia upon arrival. The SIM-card is free of charge and is placed in your apartment/room when moving in.

You can activate and top up this SIM-card in three different ways. At this link you will find a guide of how to top up your SIM-card from Telia.

Phone card with low rates to foreign countries

If you wish to have a phone card with cheap rates to foreign countries, we recommend you to get a Comviq card called “Amigos”. The phone card “Comviq Amigos” can be bought in all kiosks like Pressbyrån, 7-eleven and supermarkets.

Is your phone unlocked?

First of all, make sure that your phone is unlocked if you are switching phone operator. Some phones are locked to the operator/retailer that you bought the phone through.

How to insert the SIM-card

– The SIM-card has three different sizes. Choose the SIM-card that fits your phone.
– Turn off your phone.
– Locate the SIM-card tray and remove the old SIM-card.
– Place your new SIM-card in the tray.
– Turn on your phone.
– When you have topped up your SIM-card, it should be ready to use!
