Information about the corona virus for KI Housing tenants

KI Housing takes the corona virus situation seriously and we follow all guidelines provided by KI and Folkhälsomyndigheten. This situation will have an impact on our routines short term.

Below we have compiled some important information.


Cancellations

If you need/want to return home because of the current situation, we ask you to send an email to info@kihousing.se as soon as possible.

Please note that if you will be moving out on short notice, the tenant has the responsibility to clean the room/apartment and return the keys before departure. An email with departure instructions will be sent to the tenant after the cancellation has been confirmed. Cleaning instructions and departure information can also be found at this link.


Cleaning and hygiene in common areas

KI Housing provides extra cleaning material in our student housing corridors. Note that it is the responsibility of each tenant to keep the common areas clean.

Soap and alcohol based hand-disinfectant are provided in our student housing corridors. We ask you to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and hot water often. Try to avoid to touch your face as much as possible.

If you feel the slightest symptoms of illness, such as fever, sneezing and coughing, we ask you to avoid meeting your neighbors as much as possible. We ask you to limit your visits to the common areas and to keep appropriate distance from others. Make sure to cough and sneeze into the bend of your arm.


Relocation of risk group tenants

If you are staying in one of our student housing corridors and you suffer from a pre-existing medical condition that places you at high risk, KI Housing might be able to offer you to relocate to a private accommodation alternative. If so, please send an email to info@kihousing.se.


KI Housing staff in our housing areas and maintenance issues

All KI Housing staff working in our housing areas must be completely symptom free at any given time.

If you have submitted/will submit a maintenance report and feel the slightest symptoms of illness, we ask you to inform us so that we can take it into account.

Note that KI Housing will prioritize maintenance issues of an acute nature. We ask you for your understanding that actions may be pushed forward in time if the maintenance issue is not of an acute nature.


The KI Housing office

In order to reduce any spread of the virus, the KI Housing staff will be working remotely until further notice. Emails and phone calls will be answered as usual on weekdays between 9 and 15.30 (9-15 on Fridays). Due to increased workload, it may take some extra time before we can get back to you.


Last but not least we ask you to help each other as much as possible. If anyone in the corridor is feeling ill, a good suggestion might be to offer your help to go to the grocery store or cook for example so that the tenant who is feeling ill can limit the visits in the common areas.
