I have issues with receiving my VISA or residence permit, is it possible to postpone the starting date of my contract?
It is not possible to postpone the starting date of your contract due to delayed VISA and/or residence permit. There are two alternatives:
- You can keep your contract and pick up your keys later but you will have to pay rent from the starting date of your contract.
- You can choose to cancel your contract one month before the starting date of the contract (no charges will apply). If you cancel it less than one month before, you will have to pay rent for one month from the date when your request for terminating your contract was sent. If you wish to apply for accommodation from a later date, you will have to submit a new application on our website.
Is there anything I should do once I have moved into my room/apartment?
An inspection of your room/apartment has been made before your arrival. Should you have any questions or complaints, we ask that you contact firstname.lastname@example.org within two days of after your arrival.
If you have not subscribed for home insurance, you should do that immediately since you are fully responsible for your home. If anything is stolen from your room/apartment, or if any property is damaged or lost during your rental period, you are responsible for covering the repair or replacement costs. I will arrive later than the starting date of my contract, is there anything I should do?
There is no problem for you to arrive later than the starting date of your contract but please send us an email and let us know that you will be delayed. The keys will be in the key box until you pick them up.
How do I pick up my keys?
Your keys are to be picked up from a coded key box and are usually available from 2 pm on the starting date of your contract. You will receive important arrival information with codes etcetera, 1-2 weeks before your arrival. If you have not received this information a few working days before your arrival date, please send an email to email@example.com.

I will arrive before the starting date of my contract – can I get access to my room earlier?
There might be a chance for you to get access to your room earlier. Please send an email to your booking coordinator to see if your room is available earlier or not.
Is the bathroom shared or not?
All our studios and apartments have private bathrooms. Our dorm rooms in Strix and Pax have private bathrooms as well.
At Vårbergsvägen, the bathroom is shared with one other tenant (usually with one of the same gender) if you are staying in a dorm room deluxe. The two dorm rooms ensuite have private bathrooms.
At Jägargatan, the bathrooms are shared with other tenants in the corridor.
What happens with my application if I have not received an offer before the date I requested?
If the requested moving-in date in your application has passed without you receiving an offer, your application will be cancelled unless you contact us within one month to update your application with a new requested moving-in date. If you would like to postpone your requested moving-in date for more than three months, you must submit a new application.
Is it possible to change room/area after accepting an offer?
Unfortunately, we lack the resources of moving tenants to other areas or within an area since there are many tenants requesting for change of room and/or area.
What happens if I do not respond to the offer?
Failure to respond is seen as a “no” to the offer and your application will be cancelled. It is therefore important that you check your email and spam filter daily so that you do not miss any accommodation offer.
